To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing from the World Humanities Forum Secretariat based in Seoul, South Korea, and it is a great pleasure to contact you.

The WHF was initiated in 2011 by UNESCO and the Ministry of Education, Korea. In its 7th year preparing for the 5th Forum, we strive to provide a place for scholars, intellectuals, and the general public to explore new visions for the 21st century using the range of perspectives offered by the humanities. We would like to propose your participation in our upcoming 5th World Humanities Forum (WHF) which will take place 31st October to 2nd November 2018, in Busan, South Korea.

The theme for the 5th WHF is "The Human Image in a Changing World." The theme seeks to examine the imbrications of human images across time and space to redefine the ways in which humanities have been envisioned. It is the fundamental premise of our humanities research to understand the changing human images of today. We hope to explore and share distinctive human images, and hence develop new directions of humanities research for future generations.

It is an honor and privilege to invite you to participate in this Forum as a presenter. The 5th Forum will provide full support for flight and accommodation for the period of the Forum to all participants invited to present at the Forum. The deadline for the Call for Papers is January 31, 2018.
